Microdosing

Microdosing: A Definition

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, a microdose is “a very small amount of a drug used to test or benefit from its physiological action while minimizing undesirable side effects.”
Through the cannabis lens, this means that the act of microdosing is consuming a very small amount of cannabis in order to experience cannabis’ benefits without its side effects (AKA the classic cannabis high.)

Why Microdose?

Microdosing cannabis can be used to treat the effects of a myriad of physical and mental issues on an ongoing daily basis. Some of the most common reasons for microdosing include:
Anxiety
Depression
Chronic pain
Stress
Lack of focus
Insomnia
Low libido

How Do I Microdose?

If you already regularly consume cannabis, take a 48 hour cannabis break to reset your endocannabinoid system before following the next steps.
Begin by taking 2.5mg of THC daily, and continue for three days before deciding whether you need to increase your dosage of THC or if this amount works for you. Remember that the purpose of microdosing is to feel the smallest noticeable effect possible!
